Congratulations to Senders Alumni and most recent national team graduate, Cameron Spalding for winning the first stop of the 2025 FIS World cup tour!
On an extremely Icy and Windy qualifying day, Cameron put down an extremely solid first run from top to bottom, capping off with a flawless backside 1620 on the last jump. This earned him the top spot in qualifying and ultimately the win on a day when many competitors were struggling just to survive the course.
This must have been especially satisfying after Cameron just came up short in second place, a year earlier in the same course. This was during the FIS Junior World Championships, as Cameron almost became the first Snowboarder in history, to defend a Junior World Championship Title.
Cameron picks right up from his 4th place finish on the World Cup tour last year and now takes the lead in the tour standings in only his 3rd year on the World Tour.
Could this be the year the Alumni goes back to back with World Titles?
